Welcome to InkSpot Carlisle We’re so excited you’re here to explore our awesome services, like tattoos, laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal, and special laser treatments for things like pigmentation, skin rejuvenation, acne, wrinkles, and vascular therapy (which helps with visible veins). To make sure everyone has a safe, fun, and fair experience, we’ve created these Terms and Conditions. Think of them as the rules we all follow, like in a game, to keep things clear and safe. They’re written so even a 10-year-old can understand them. Please read them carefully before booking or getting any service at our studio.
By visiting our studio, making an appointment, or getting a service, you agree to follow these rules. If anything confuses you, just ask us! Our friendly team is here to help.
1. What We Do
At InkSpot Carlisle, we offer these cool services:
- Tattoos: Drawing custom or pre-designed tattoos on your skin with safe tools and ink.
- Laser Tattoo Removal: Using lasers to fade or remove tattoos you don’t want anymore.
- Laser Hair Removal: Using lasers to reduce unwanted hair so it grows back less or not at all.
- Cosmetic Laser Treatments:
- Pigmentation: Helping even out skin color if you have dark or light spots.
- Skin Rejuvenation: Making your skin look fresher and smoother.
- Acne Treatment: Helping clear up pimples or acne scars.
- Wrinkle Treatment: Smoothing out lines on your face.
- Vascular Therapy: Reducing visible veins on your skin.
We follow strict safety and cleanliness rules to make sure you’re safe and happy.
2. Who Can Get Our Services
To keep everyone safe, we have rules about who can get our services:
- Age Requirements:
- You must be 18 or older to get tattoos, laser hair removal, tattoo removal, or cosmetic laser treatments.
- If you’re under 16, we can’t do these services, even with a parent’s permission, because it’s safer to wait until you’re older.
- ID Check: We’ll ask for a photo ID (like a driver’s license, passport, or school ID) to check your age and identity.
- Health Requirements:
- You need to be healthy enough for our services. If you have conditions like diabetes, skin infections, or heart problems, tell us so we can make sure it’s safe.
- If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, we can’t do tattoos or laser treatments because it might not be safe for you or your baby.
- If you’re sick (like with a cold or fever), please reschedule your appointment.
3. Booking an Appointment
Here’s how to book with us:
- How to Book: You can book by calling us, visiting our studio, or using our website. We’ll need your name, phone number, and email to contact you.
- Deposits: For most services, we ask for a £20 deposit upfront to save your spot. This deposit goes toward the cost of your service. If you cancel or don’t show up, you might lose your deposit (see Section 4).
- Consultations: We offer free 10 minute slots in the evening for consultations to talk about your tattoo, hair removal, tattoo removal, or cosmetic laser treatment plans. If you decide to book, we’ll schedule your appointment.
4. Cancellations and No-Shows
Sometimes plans change, and that’s okay! Here’s what happens if you need to cancel or reschedule:
- Cancelling: Tell us at least 48 hours (2 days) before your appointment if you need to cancel or you will lose your deposit.
- Rescheduling: You can reschedule if you let us know 48 hours in advance. We’ll move your deposit to the new date.
- No-Shows: If you don’t show up and don’t tell us, you’ll lose your deposit, and we may ask for a new deposit to book again.
- Late Arrivals: If you’re more than 15 minutes late, we will need to reschedule so we don’t keep other clients waiting.
5. Pricing and Payments
We want you to know exactly what things cost:
- Pricing: The cost depends on the service. For example:
- Tattoos depend on size, design, and time.
- Laser hair removal and tattoo removal depend on the area size and number of sessions.
- Cosmetic laser treatments depend on the type and number of sessions.
- We’ll give you an estimate during your consultation.
- Payment Methods: We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and [list other methods, e.g., mobile payments]. You pay the full amount when you get your service.
- Deposits: Deposits are needed for most bookings and are non-refundable if you cancel less than 48 hours before or don’t show up.
No Refunds for Services: Once we start a tattoo or laser treatment, we can’t give refunds because the work is permanent or semi-permanent. If you’re not happy, talk to us, and we’ll try to fix it.
6. Safety and Cleanliness
Your safety is super important to us. Here’s how we keep things safe:
- Sterile Equipment: We use clean, sterile needles for tattoos and dispose of them after one use. Laser machines are cleaned and checked before each session.
- Clean Studio: Our studio is cleaned daily, and all surfaces are disinfected between clients.
- Trained Staff: Our tattoo artists and laser technicians are trained professionals who follow strict safety rules.
Your Role: Follow our instructions, like wearing protective goggles during laser treatments or keeping a tattoo clean.
7. What to Expect During Services
Here’s what happens when you get a service:
- Tattoos:
- We’ll discuss your design and make sure you love it.
- Your skin is cleaned, a stencil is applied (if needed), and the artist uses a tattoo machine to add ink.
- It might feel like a scratch, but we’ll keep you comfy.
- We’ll give you aftercare tips to help it heal.
- Laser Hair Removal:
- We’ll clean the area and use a laser to target hair. It feels like a quick snap.
- You’ll need multiple sessions for best results.
- We’ll give you aftercare tips, like avoiding sun exposure.
- Laser Tattoo Removal:
- We’ll explain how many sessions you need (usually more than one).
- You’ll wear goggles, and the laser will feel like snaps on your skin.
- We’ll tell you how to care for your skin after.
- Cosmetic Laser Treatments:
- We’ll clean your skin and use a laser to treat pigmentation, acne, wrinkles, or veins.
- It might feel warm or tingly, but we’ll make sure you’re okay.
- You may need several sessions, and we’ll give you aftercare instructions.
8. Your GDPR Rights
To get the best results, follow our aftercare tips:
- Tattoos: Keep it clean, use ointment, and avoid sun or swimming while it heals.
Laser Treatments: Keep the area clean, avoid sun, and follow any cream or bandage instructions. If you don’t follow these, your skin might not heal well, and we won’t be responsible for problems caused by not following the rules.
9. Risks and Side Effects
Our services are safe, but there are small risks:
- Tattoos: Redness, swelling, or rare infections if not cared for. Allergic reactions to ink are uncommon.
- Laser Treatments: Redness, swelling, blisters, or skin color changes. Scarring is rare. We’ll explain risks during your consultation. If you notice anything unusual (like a lot of pain), call us right away.
10. Your Responsibilities
To make everything go smoothly, please:
- Be honest about your age, health, and medical history.
- Follow all instructions before, during, and after services.
- Treat our staff and clients kindly.
- Tell us if you’re unhappy so we can help.
